The practice of Chinese calligraphy

I started learning Chinese brush calligraphy as a way to slow down. It demands presence, patience, and a willingness to make peace with imperfection. Here I share my progress, materials, and what I've learned.

Starting with 楷書 (Kaishu): why regular script first

The brushes, ink and paper I use
After trying dozens of combinations, here's what I've settled on as a beginner-to-intermediate practitioner based in Singapore.
Daily practice: 15 minutes a day for 90 days
What happened when I committed to a short, consistent daily practice — and what I'd do differently.
